The Hodgson School of Music’s enthusiasm for serving those outside the University is reflected in a variety of outreach programs. Hundreds of students from around the state attend workshops, summer camps, festivals, and special education days supported by the School. The UGA Community Music School is a continuing program that offers instruction to area residents of all ages and at all levels of musical ability. The UGA String Project and the Georgia Children’s Chorus target public school students, offering private and group instruction for the purpose of allowing students to encounter musical activities and development of their musical talents at a young age .
