Collegium Musicum

andaya_120The Collegium Musicum is an early-music ensemble that explores, prepares and performs literature of the Baroque era in the fall semester, and the Medieval and Renaissance eras in the spring. The ensemble is made up of vocalists and instrumentalists (on both period and modern instruments) and is open to undergraduate and graduate students as well as non-students. Fall 2004 repertoire includes music of the French Baroque including composers Marc-Antoine Charpentier, Jean Gilles, Francois Couperin, and (an Italian in France) Antonia Bembo. The University of Georgia Collegium Musicum is directed by Mitos Andaya.
