The University Philharmonia under the direction of Skip Taylor is open to all UGA students, regardless of major. String players may participate without an audition. All other instruments are selected by audition at the beginning of each semester. Contact Skip Taylor or Mark Cedel for further information.
The University Philharmonia meets on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and performs one concert per semester. Students receive one hour of course credit for the ensemble. Majors and minors in the School of Music must obtain the director's permission to use this course for their Large Ensemble credit.
