Bands
Concert Bands
| The University Band Program supports three concert bands in addition to the Wind Ensemble, Wind Symphony, and the Symphonic Band. The Concert Bands, equal in performance level, are open to all UGA students without audition. During the fall semester, students are placed in one of two bands, both of which place primary emphasis on reading a wide variety of literature. In the spring semester, the third band is added and emphasis in all three ensembles is shifted to concert preparation. The bands rehearse twice per week and concerts are presented during the spring semester. |

Redcoat Marching Band
| The Redcoat Marching Band meets only during the fall semester. All University students are invited to apply for membership, which is determined by audition. Membership requires a conservative weekly rehearsal schedule and performance at all the UGA home football games. Performance at out-of-town games is required when attendance does not infringe on academic requirements. |
