Rehearsal & Performance Halls
The School of Music's large performing groups are housed in several spacious rehearsal and instructional areas. In addition to the facilities within the School of Music, the School uses performance halls in the Performing Arts Center for recitals and concerts.

The Betsy Tant Leebern Band Rehearsal Hall
The Betsy Tant Leebern Band Rehearsal Hall is large enough to accommodate the entire Redcoat Marching Band (approximately 350 members) for indoor rehearsals. Movable curtains adjust acoustics to accommodate the size of ensemble. Located across the Hall is the Percussion Suite, a complex of practice rooms and faculty studios. Designed with large doors and special acoustics to accommodate the instruments, the suite also enjoys a dedicated loading dock.
The Katherine John Murphy Foundation Orchestra Rehearsal Hall
The Katherine John Murphy Foundation Orchestra Rehearsal Hall (located in the Performing Arts Center) houses the UGA Symphony Orchestra, the University Philharmonia, chamber ensembles of all sizes, and string pedagogy classes. Complete with instrument storage space, office space, and a library, the hall is conveniently located near the backstage areas of the Performing Arts Center.

The Presser Choral Suite
The Presser Choral Suite contains a choral rehearsal hall with an adjacent soundproof workshop room, offices, and repertoire library. The rehearsal hall features walls and ceilings with angles to keep sound moving and lively within the space. Audio and visual recording equipment and movable curtains allow adjustment of acoustics to the size of the group rehearsing.

The Robert G. Edge Recital Hall
The Robert G. Edge Recital Hall is a 180-seat multipurpose facility used for student recitals, applied seminars, large general education classes, theory and musicology classes, and faculty meetings. It is equipped with a projection screen to be used with portable video equipment for workshops. A movable stage curtain allows alteration of acoustics or visual change to the stage area. A control booth in the rear of the hall accommodates video/audio recording.

Dancz Hall
Dancz Hall, located in and managed by the Hugh Hodgson School of Music's Roger & Phyllis Dancz Center for New Music, is a black-box multimedia theater with theatrical lighting, flexible audience seating, 4.4 audio spatialization, and state-of-the-art communication capability with the three adjacent electronic music composition studios. It serves as the rehearsal space for the Contemporary Chamber Ensemble and is also used for solo and chamber ensemble performances involving new music and multimedia.
