Digiovanni currently resides in Huntsville, Alabama and is the founder of Music Therapy Augmented. Read more about her below. Biography From helping pediatric cancer patients cope with treatment to developing rehabilitation programs that improve patient outcomes, Lizzie has spent her career demonstrating the power of music in healthcare. A graduate of the University of Georgia’s Hugh Hodgson School of Music, she has served patients and families through leading healthcare organizations including Encompass Health, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Rooted Music Therapy. Her work combines clinical expertise with strategic storytelling, helping health care organizations increase awareness, strengthen community partnerships and expand access to care. Through Music Therapy Augmented, a nationally recognized continuing education and consulting platform, she equips music therapists with marketing, advocacy and program development skills that strengthen services nationwide. A dedicated UGA alumna, she mentors students through the UGA Mentor Program, regularly returns to campus as a guest speaker and supports the Music Therapy Support Fund. Whether working with patients, mentoring future clinicians or helping organizations share their mission, she remains committed to making the impact of music therapy more visible, accessible and transformative for communities across the country.
