New Horizons Music programs have one simple message: You're never too old to learn how to play a musical instrument. The Community Music School, part of the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, in conjunction with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (UGA College of Education) will be launching a New Horizons Center in the Athens in Fall 2010. If you are interested in participating, submitting comments or receiving additional information throughout the planning stages for this new CMS initiative, send an email to ugacms@uga.edu.

The heavy schedule of recitals and performances in the Hodgson School continues today with three recitals:

Kristen Blanton, voice, at 5 p.m. in Edge Recital Hall, on the third floor of the HHSOM. By the way, Blanton a DMA candidate, was extraordinary as Miss Todd in Menotti's opera The Old Maid and the Thief back in February, so this recital is definitely one not to miss.

Then we have Eric Davis, horn, in Ramsey Concert Hall at 6 p.m.

And Rebecca Bonas, piano, back in Edge Hall at 8 p.m.
