The centerpiece of this program will be Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Dona nobis pacem (Grant us peace), a work for soprano and baritone soloists, chorus, and orchestra. Written in 1936, this work is a call to end all war, comprised of a compilation of Latin texts from a traditional mass, Walt Whitman poetry, a political speech and portions of the Bible. This program will feature over 300 UGA students.
