The purpose of the Adult Performance Class is to gather like-minded music performers and provide a weekly opportunity to prepare repertoire on their own and perform for the class, getting out "performance jitters", in preparation for a variety of performance opportunities, including recitals, open mic's, rock band concerts, solo performances for friends and families, auditions, private entertainment, and more! The class is non-instrument-specific, especially open to vocalists, guitarists, pianists, and folk-instrument musicians (banjo, ukelele, etc). Students ages 15+ are eligible to participate and all experience levels are welcome, including those who have never performed for an audience to veteran performing musicians. Only minimal prior playing experience is needed to join the class.  Classes will meet for 10 weekly sessions on Mondays at 6:45pm in the UGA School of Music. Students must supply their own instrument and music.

Lessons for Adults of ALL ages:
CMS offers one-on-one lessons to adults of all ages and abilities on piano, strings, brass, percussion, guitar, folk instruments (banjo, ukelele), and voice. Are you in a band? Do you have song ideas rattling around that could use some professional help, or just need some help with some basic technique? CMS offers lessons in songwriting and non-classical music styles as well. Some instruments have the option of graduate vs. professional instructors. While the registration system looks like you have to register for a full semester, we are more than happy to accommodate a much more flexible and occasional schedule for adult students.
