Graduate financial aid

Nearly half of all students at the Hodgson School have received scholarship, fellowship, and teaching assistant rewards, either from the University of Georgia or directly from the School of Music.

Grants, Federal Work-Study, loans, and a limited number of scholarships are available through the Office of Student Financial Aid. The OSFA should be your first stop if you are looking for information on aid eligibility, the HOPE Scholarship, or the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The Office of Student Financial Aid is located on the second floor of the Holmes/Hunter Academic Building beside the Arch on North Campus. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.to 5 p.m.

Financial aid available through the School of Music includes both School of Music sponsored and band sponsored scholarships. These scholarships are renewable each year with a maximum contract length of four years as long as, upon annual review, the student's level of achievement remains satisfactory and the student maintains full-time status. One audition satisfies both the admission and scholarship consideration requirements. Mark the appropriate box on the online application to receive further information and scholarship consideration.

Further information about university, state, and federal aid programs can be found by contacting the Office of Student Financial Aid (osfa.uga.edu)  or the UGA Graduate School (www.grad.uga.edu).  Optional online auditions are available for out-of-state students, who may also be eligible for an out-of-state tuition waiver.

We attract a broad spectrum of talent from around the world, and nearly half of all our students have received scholarship, fellowship, and teaching assistant awards.
