Lily Kate Akins

HHSOM Ambassador

Lily Kate Akins (she/her) is a third-year music student originally from Brunswick, Georgia. She is currently pursuing a double major in AB Music and Sociology with a minor in Studio Art (Photography). Lily Kate is a member of the clarinet studio and has participated in many of the school of music’s ensembles, including the UGA Wind Ensemble, Wind Symphony, Redcoat Marching Band, University Chorus, and Clarinet Choir. She is also a member of the school’s Recording Practicum. Outside of music, Lily Kate is involved in the Lamar Dodd School of Art, the Morehead Honors College, and works as a photographer for both The Red & Black and the Redcoat Marching Band. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing guitar or piano, and being outdoors. As an ambassador, Lily Kate hopes to represent the students who love music, but also have other passions or interests they want to pursue. She is grateful to be part of such an amazing team!
