2021 speakers
This semester Dave D'Angelo will be doing a Friday "Zoom Guest Artist Series" featuring professionals speaking on many aspects of the music industry.
These sessions will be during Jazz Ensemble I Friday rehearsal time, 12:40 - 1:30.
Guests will include a New York based recording engineer, Broadway conductor, an L.A. based composer for commercials, TV, and film, a member of the L.A. Philharmonic orchestra, along with other higher education jazz educators.
This will be a great opportunity for our students to hear directly from these behind-the-scenes pros who have a wealth of knowledge to share, and are doing it simply to serve.

Friday, April 2: Jeff Coffin

Jeff Coffin is a saxophonist, multi-woodwind performer, 3 Time Grammy Winner and Educator who is currently saxophonist with the Dave Matthews band. He is a former member of Bela Fleck and The Fleck Tones. Jeff will be discussing a variety of topics with the students including practice routines and preparing for careers in the music industry.

Paul is a Grammy Nominated New York based recording engineer with over 1000 CD recordings to his credit. Paul will be speaking to the students on a variety of aspects of the recording industry.

David Andrews Rogers, (fondly goes by "DAR"), is a conductor/arranger/vocal coach, who has spent many years in musical theater in New York as well as national and international tours. After being a resident of NYC for 27 years, he recently moved to Palm Springs while on break from an International tour of Phantom.
